STORIED TREASURES

Since our launch in 2017, Storied Treasures has endeavored to provide both an entertaining platform for shipwreck exploration & education, as well as providing a shop for one-of-a-kind jewelry creations & treasure collectibles.

We offer speaking engagements, artifacts for display, lecture topics, as well as offering to conduct search & recovery services for lost items at the beach. For those in need of 'marine services,' we also can be hired to do hull inspections on boats, as well as various marine video & photography services using our underwater DeepTrekker Rov named 'Faith'

Storied Treasures is here to explore the mysteries of the deep, walk the pages of history, reunite you with your lost articles, and HAVE FUN!

TITANIC WRECK TOURS Episode 1: 'Echoes From the Deep'

((Note, I had to re-upload this video due to an audio glitch and a mix-up on one of my audio/video takes) Episode #1 to my indie video series about TITANIC. This episode is specifically meant to follow a 'nostalgic path' and is laid out reminiscent of the classic discovery channel documentaries I grew up with. I was blessed to be given permission to use Mr. Michael Whalen's incredible score to accentuate my videos. This episode will focus on the Testimonies of some of Titanic's survivors, and draw attention to specific parts of the wreck (where applicable) in accordance with Titanic's story as we are told it by her survivors. Using footage graciously provided by NOAA and the Inner Space Center, mixed with classic animation from 'Home Run Pictures', Cyberflix 'Titanic Adventure Out of Time, as well as newer computer graphics from fellow YouTuber JEALOUSE STATEMENT ((link to his profile below)) this long-awaited first episode was truly a labor of love and I cannot thank those involved enough for all the help, and patience bestowed on me as I made it. I look forward to the next episode... Enjoy! U.S.S. S-37 "The Forgotten Warrior"

Storied Treasure's first major video about the U.S.S. S-37 (SS 142) The S-37 was a Holland-type 'S-boat' class of submarine. She was Launched on June 20th, 1919, and commissioned into the United States Navy on July 16th, 1923. This submarine led a very active life in the United States Asiatic Fleet from the time of her commissioning until she was transferred to training duties on the West coast. Following the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on December the 7th, 1941, the aging sub was sent out on patrol immediately to report back on the Imperial Japanese navy shipping and troop movements in the Philippine Islands. Despite her old age and lack of mobility, she proved herself a true fighter, when she boldly attacked a column of Japanese destroyers in February 1942. Ultimately sinking the IJN NATSUSHIO, and thus earning her place in naval history for the first-ever Japanese destroyer kill of World War II, an achievement that remains one of the most daring accomplishments by any submarine commander. In 1945, the sub was stricken from the Navy List and was lost on her way to being sunk for target practice. Following her discovery and partial salvage in the late 1950s, the sub remains today a forgotten and often neglected dive site due to the dangerous conditions on-site and the overall nature of the wreck. THIS IS HER STORY!!! Told for the FIRST TIME!!! Special Thank You to fellow Youtubers: WOLFPACK 345 - For the incredible historical narration and for in-game footage from Silent Hunter IV that brought that epic attack to life! (His channel) https://www.youtube.com/c/Wolfpack345 David Sirak - For generously allowing me to use audio from his 'Vandenburg sinking' footage to add a bit more realism to the old clips I was using. (His channel) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiAqRwVVrMlmLCPa92EXHrg This indie documentary has been a long time coming and was a real labor of love and work by several dedicated people..... I am truly grateful to all who were involved and I am excited to share it with everyone! Stay tuned for the NEXT exciting video! God bless, Matthew Smathers ~Storied Treasures~
